Shaker is a quality eating alternative. Alberto and Valter’s place in the historic centre offers fast but carefully selected food, with flavours ranging from cold cuts (including P.D.O. – Protected Denomination of Origin) like smoked bison and Chianina mortadella to quality cheeses like pecorino di fossa and Castelmagno, which has extremely ancient origins. But that’s not all, because gourmets can pair the gastronomic delights on offer with preserves (all available to taste), especially the excellent acacia honey. The open wine cellar includes around 150 labels divided into whites, reds and sparkling wines. Shaker is also a great place for a takeaway, perhaps combining one of the specialities on offer with a good bottle of wine. The JAT card is also valid for take-aways, but cannot be used for aperitifs – another Shaker speciality.
