This began as a pizzeria and then, thanks to the professionalism of the Bettio family,
became a “trattoria & pizza”. La Taverna focuses mainly on traditional seafood
dishes rather than pizzas (these are great, but they have taken second place
on the menu). Quality and freshness are the essential features of the La Taverna’s
cuisine. Dishes are references to traditional, local cooking, without uselessly sophisticated
touches that end up altering the flavour of the fish. Its basic philosophy
is to use top quality, perfectly fresh fish from the Adriatic, depending on what
the market offers. La Taverna’s wine list (created with the invaluable help of host
Mauro Lorenzon) has a carefully selected number of labels from the Triveneto
area and the rest of Italy. Every Thursday traditional dinner with 7-course degustation
