Claudio, Gianni and Onelio have run the Al Porto restaurant for more than twenty years and have created a place that has become a reference point for seafood fans. Al Porto, which overlooks the mouth of the Piave, has three rooms, the Sala Grande with 200 covers (ideal for functions or wedding receptions), the Sala della Nave with 80 covers, in the shape of a keel, and the intimate Sala Privé seating just 20. The restaurant offers traditional dishes, innovatively reinterpreted and mainly seafood-based cuisine. There is a wide range of raw, marinated starters that are always freshly caught and many hot dishes such as the local baby cuttlefish skewers with aubergine or scampi skewers with crispy leek, cooked gently to ensure they remain soft and tasty. There is also a careful selection of first courses and grilled fish. The restaurant also offers Portottanta evenings: a seafood dinner and dance with the best in music from the’70s, ’80s and ’90s. Reservations recommended.
