One of the best places in Cortellazzo, amongst the many pearls of cuisine scattered through this little town of fishermen, is without doubt Al Gambero. This restaurant, owned by Adelio and Nadia Comin, has been part of Jesolo a Tavola since 1996 and in over 25 years’ activity the owners have skilfully managed to include their vast culinary repertoire, developed through years of training and experience, in their menu. Flavours at Al Gambero are the traditional ones of the Adriatic, mainly based on fresh seafood, although vegetarian alternatives are also available. The à la carte menu includes raw delicacies like Venus clams, marinated scampi and oysters, as well as countless specialities including baked hermit-crab, scallops au gratin, seafood risotto, tortelli with scallops, the traditional favourite baked turbot with potatoes and a superb pear and chocolate tart. All this can be enjoyed with wines like Sauvignon Felluga, Ferrari Brut, Santa Margherita and Incrocio Manzoni.
