Phil Woods concert - CANCELLED
It has been announced that, due to an accident involving the artist, a concert by the American saxophonist Phil Woods, scheduled for Veneto Jazz Winter at Jesolo’s Teatro Vivaldi on 10 April 2010, is canceled.
For those who purchased tickets in advance, please contact the Administrative Office of Veneto Jazz (tel. 0423 452069 - administration @ venetojazz), submitting a copy of the ticket for reimbursement.
Saturday, 10 April at 9:15 p.m., the Vivaldi Theatre is hosting the quartet of the saxophonist, Phil Woods. The event is organized in cooperation with the Office for Cultural Activities of the Municipality.
Biographical details:
Considered the heir of Charlie Parker, to the extent that he is nicknamed The New Bird, Phil Woods certainly represents what contraltism would have become if the beloved Bird had not died so prematurely and had had the time to slip in the modern tones that have passed through jazz from his passing to today.
At Jesolo, he is appearing accompanied by an excellent group of Italian musicians: Giovanni Mazzarino at the piano, Ares Tavolazzi on the double bass and Valter Paoli on the drums.
