Cortina and the Dolomites
Depart from Jesolo and after having passed the historic little town of Vittorio Veneto (linked to events in the First World War) cross the Fadalto Pass, at the end of which you can make a stop on the banks of the Santa Croce Lake. After having passed the Ponte nelle Alpi and Longarone you come to Cadore, a green mountain area full of atmospheric landscapes. When you draw near to your destination you can glimpse some of the most famous peaks in the Dolomites: Sorapis, Antelao, Pelmo and the Cinque Torri. In Cortina you can take a trip up Monte Faloria by cable car. The peak of the mountain gives a splendid view over Cortina and the surrounding area, with the red Tofane, Monte Cristallo and other amazing peaks.
During your return journey, stop off briefly at Lake Misurina one of Italy’s most atmospheric Alpine lakes (just 30 minutes from Cortina). You then return to Jesolo.
