The nautical decor in this restaurant, situated near Piazza Aurora, is no coincidence. The Bucintoro was the boat that the Doge of Venice used on Ascension Day, in the port of the Lido to celebrate Venice’s marriage to the sea. Il Bucintoro’s menu is mainly fish-based. We suggest you try the warm seafood salad, the tagliardi with scampi and asparagus, the spaghetti with local lobster, the cuttlefish in camicia with asparagus, the tuna steak and the baked sea bass fillet with vegetables. The wine list offers around eighty labels. There is a vast choice of local wines and proseccos, white wines from Friuli and Alto Adige, reds from the Veneto, Tuscany and Piedmont, fine sparkling wines from Franciacorta and Champagne.
